A nasty fight broke out in the stands on the opening night of Magic Round.

The fight took place during Friday night’s match between the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs and the Newcastle Knights.

Footage emerged on social media later on Friday showing the brawl, with several men pictured throwing punches while others were seen falling in the stands.

A Queensland Police spokesperson confirmed news.com.au that three people involved in the altercation were evicted by the police and given offense notices for disorderly conduct in authorized premises.

There are, however, no complaints of active aggression. Queensland Police also confirmed three other men were given instructions, while one person received first aid.

It is not the first time this season that a violent brawl has broken out at Suncorp Stadium, with one brawl taking place on Anzac Day earlier this year.

On this occasion, a fan appeared to scream during the moment of silence, prompting another man to lash out at him, throwing punches at him and ripping his shirt off.

The video also quickly arrived on social media.

Friday’s fight tainted what was otherwise a positive build-up for Magic Round, with the first two games seeing the Knights and Broncos crowned winners.
