The Beast and its beauties! Chase star Mark Labbett reveals he has to ‘throw’ women at events that ‘grope his ass’… after sharing details of his £1m salary
Hunter Mark Labbett has admitted he has to ‘reject’ women in appearances because of their interest in him.
The math genius, known on the ITV show as The Beast, explained that fans can get a little too familiar when they see him in real life.
The 6ft 6in star also shared details of winning £1m in a month last year after appearing on the US version of the quiz.
Highly praised: Chase star Mark Labbett, 56, has revealed he has to ‘reject’ women at events because they are getting a little too familiar
While chatting to The Sun, Mark revealed that while public appearances are fun, it comes at a cost: ”I’ve done a lot of gigs all over the country, things like the bingo hall and pub quizzes and it’s a lot of fun but i can safely say on any given gig that i get felt about four times, that’s every gig and it’s not just the women.
“I’ve had women pull my face to kiss them, they sat on my lap and I had to throw them away.”
“The worst part was I was wearing jeans and the woman grabbed my meat and two vegetables,” he told the publication.
Raking: The star also shared details of his £1million salary he received for a month’s work last year
Staple: Mark joined the ITV show in 2009, quickly becoming a fan favorite with his dry sense of humor and towering intimidation
Admitting he thinks it’s unfair, Mark shared that if the tables were turned between him and the fans, he would be “in the cells”.
The women’s attention comes after the quiz split from his wife of seven years, Katie Labbett, last year, after the pair tied the knot in 2014.
After joining the ITV show in 2009, Mark recently appeared in the US on ABC’s version of The Chase, grossing £1million in a month.
Winners: The Chase scooped a BAFTA TV award last week, where Mark shared more details about his £1m salary
Savings: ‘I didn’t spend anything, I just made sure pensions were topped up and my son’s school fees were paid,’ he humbly admitted on the show
The former maths teacher revealed the salary was ‘more than I earned in the first 49 years of my life’.
But speaking at the BAFTA Television Awards recently after The Chase snagged an award, he admitted he didn’t blow the fortunes on anything other than his son’s pensions and school fees.
“I didn’t spend anything, I just made sure that the pensions were topped up and my son’s school fees were paid. I don’t need or want anything. I wear Clarks shoes and Marks & Spencer suits. I’m too old for fast cars. I have a Volvo, he humbly admitted.
Split: Mark’s female attention comes after he split from wife Kate Labbett last year after marrying in 2014 (pictured in 2016)
